The Basketball Africa League (BAL), a partnership between the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the National Basketball Organization (NBA), is a brand-new specialist league including 12 club teams from across Africa. The BAL develops on the structure of club competitors FIBA has arranged in Africa and notes the NBA’s initial partnership to operate an organization outside North America.
